MetLife’s Protected Growth Strategies products have a new portfolio from which to choose. They issued an informative release published on 4-traders entitled “Metlife Inc: MetLife Adds the MetLife Multi-Index Targeted Risk Portfolio to Its Protected Growth Strategies Lineup.” This lineup is an option with MetLife’s variable annuity products that have the optional benefits of GMIB Max and EDB Max. These Protected Growth Strategies are perfect in the current financial markets because of the way that they manage risk. It allows for returns that are much more consistent over the life of the annuities because of the different choices that they have for seizing growth in global asset classes.
This specific portfolio is a combination of asset allocation over multiple indexes along with specific risk management. MetLife was actually the first company giving investment options other than those typically available with the optional benefit riders. They started offering more choices for asset classes and better risk management early last year. Investors have had positive feedback for MetLife since they introduced the Protected Growth Strategies variable annuities. They allow investors to have money in the global markets, but manage volatility in a way that eases their minds about risk. This new Multi-Index Targeted Risk Portfolio is a combination of easier indexed portfolio investing and MetLife’s tried and true risk management.
The three main points to take away from this new portfolio are strong risk management, professional management, and that they are managed responsibly. Markets are constantly monitored so that growth is maximized in stable markets and protection occurs in volatile markets. Expert managers give opportunities not formerly available to smaller clients and make changes as soon as necessary to stay on top of the markets. If you have a MetLife variable annuity with their Guaranteed Minimum Income Benefit Max IV or that rider combined with the MetLife Enhanced Death Benefit Max IV, you are eligible to choose this new portfolio. This is the eighth option for the Protected Growth Strategies product portfolios.
Many of the terms and much of the language when we’re talking about detailed product development can be boring or confusing, I get it. I try to use terms, but make it a bit more understandable. But I’m just relaying the information about new products or annuity changes in the news. If these MetLife options seem like a good fit for you, please speak with an expert and get the run down on everything involved with these variable annuities.
